Last month, I turned 30 years old. It has brought up a lot of things for me. Yet, mostly excitement. Because I feel my 20’s & teens were equal parts adventurous & fun, yet also very very very messy.

I learned lots of lessons. Some harder than others. Luckily, I look back on all with gratitude now.

I know this new decade will be filled with more lessons, yet I feel it will also be filled with more presence & peace throughout the journey.

One of the most valuable things in this life is time. I hope this post may save others some time in learning lessons the hard way. Yet, as always, life & experience will always be the greatest teacher.

♥️🙏🏽 On my birthday, I reflected a lot with Pachamama 🌏 & wrote this…✨. I hope you enjoy.

✨30 things I wish I could have learned & understood at 15✨

1. What you accomplish does not make you “enough.” You are already enough no matter what you do.

2. Listen to your body ALWAYS. If it says no, listen to that instead of others.

3. Sometimes exactly what you think you don’t want, ends up being everything you actually wanted & needed.

4. I know Catholicism scared you away from God for a bit, yet once you start opening up to spirituality again – that’s when the real magic of life is to begin.

5. Don’t stress too much about the future. Life never ends up exactly as you think it will or plan it to be. 6. Prioritize your family. The more time you spend with them, the more time you will truly get to know & understand yourself.

7. Rejection is redirection. And most of the time into something even better for you.

8. “There is no growth in comfort, there is no comfort in growth.”

9. Paradoxically, patience & letting go of your dreams will actually lead you to them more quickly than impatience & holding tightly to them.

10. DON’T think that you can’t make a career out of something you truly love. Pursue what you love. Happiness follows.

11. Plants plants plant plants & more plants. They will give you everything you want & need. 🌱

12. Stop internalizing how you truly feel so much & writing it in your notebooks. Be brave to speak it out to who needs to hear it.

13. Give what you want to get. You want vulnerability & honesty, give it first. You want money, give of your energy first. You want love, give it first – to others & yourself.

14. It’s not what you say, it’s the way you say it. There is always a way to react and communicate with love and compassion. Even while setting boundaries.

15. HOLD STRONG BOUNDARIES. With yourself and others. People treat you the way you allow them to. 16. You do not need permission to speak your truth, do what you want to do, or be who you want to be. 17. Your body is beautiful. Please be kind to it & stop being so critical.

18. Be conscious with your choices & how it’s affecting your two homes – the Earth & your body. Take care of these as they are so connected.

19. Don’t stress out so much about school. Some of the most successful, wealthy people in life didn’t even go to college.

20. Talk to yourself the way you would talk to a child. Be gentle.

21. What you think about most is what you bring into your life. Be careful with your thoughts & focus wisely.

22. Having your dream body is not created by extremes or short-term fixes. It is created by moderation & sustainable, consistent, long-term lifestyle choices. See #11.

23. Stop comparing yourself to others.

24. Stop idolizing Hollywood actresses & celebrities. Perfection is an illusion.

25. Alcohol is not as much of your friend as you think it may be. It may give you all I want In the short term, yet sobriety gives you all you want in the long-term scope.

26. Your energy, time, & body are sacred. Stop wasting any of that on people or situations that do not value or respect those things.

27. It truly is about the journey, not the destination. You will get to the destination & it will feel good, but it may also feel like ‘that was it?’ And then your into a new journey to a new destination.

28. Embrace what God has given you naturally. Quit with the hair straightening.

29. When traveling – the less plans the better. Oh, and one-way tickets only.

30. Life is a sacred gift. Every moment. Be present for it all. 🙏🏽✨

Here’s to full surrendering into the 30s – excited for the new lessons & expansion!
